Who you are dealing with

AOS Wholesale represents an established Eastern European honey producer and exporter in the UK and Ireland. Our producer partner has been in the honey trade for more than 25 years and handles more than 450 tonnes a year, with the capacity to supply more.

We handle the whole supply for you, from the beekeeper to your door. Once payment terms are agreed and payment is received, we take care of everything else: export and import documents, the health certificate, customs clearance and transport. You receive the honey at your premises in the UK, cleared and ready to use, with the laboratory report for its batch. You deal with one named person throughout, and you are quoted in sterling.

From the beekeeper to the drum

The honey we supply is bought, processed and packed by our producer partner in Eastern Europe, whose founders and team have worked in beekeeping and honey for more than 25 years. Here is what happens to it before it reaches you.

  1. Selected beekeepers

We buy only from selected beekeepers. Each delivery is tested in our own laboratory before it is accepted into stock.

  2. One uniform batch, one specification

The processing station, completed in 2016, homogenises honey in batches of 21 tonnes and more, sized to your order. A full load leaves as one uniform lot, with one laboratory analysis that holds from the first drum to the last.

  3. Checked at three stages

First-stage analysis in our own laboratory. Official analysis certificates from the national veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the country of origin. Further analysis in specialised laboratories in Romania, Italy and Germany. Every batch is verified three times before it ships. That is how we guarantee the quality of our honey and deliver the same high standard with every single order.

  4. New food-grade drums

Honey is packed only in new food-grade drums made by Greif, the international industrial packaging manufacturer. Drums are never reused.

  5. Certified processing

The processing station is certified to ISO 22000 for food safety management and ISO 9001 for quality management, so every stage follows audited food-safety and quality procedures.

  6. Documents and delivery

We prepare the export and import documents, including the health certificate, clear customs and deliver the drums to your premises in the UK, with the laboratory report for your batch.

Eight varieties, from pale acacia to dark forest honey

We work with an established network of producers to source honey by variety, specification, quantity and commercial application. Availability varies by season and harvest.

Acacia Honey

Light, delicate, premium

One of the most sought-after European honey varieties. Acacia is recognised for its exceptionally pale colour, delicate floral character and naturally slow crystallisation. Its mild flavour and premium appearance make it particularly attractive for retail, hospitality and premium private-label products.

Wildflower Honey

Entry-level price. Bold flavour.

Wildflower is the entry point to our range on price and one of the strongest on flavour. Gathered across many flowering plants, it is rich, full-bodied and suited to a broad range of commercial applications. Also supplied as polyfloral.

Linden Honey

Aromatic, floral, distinctive

Linden is one of the characteristic honey varieties of Eastern Europe. It carries a distinctive floral aroma and an expressive flavour profile, which makes it particularly attractive for premium and speciality honey ranges.

Buckwheat Honey

Dark, rich, powerful

Buckwheat honey is immediately recognisable by its darker colour and distinctive, full-bodied flavour. It provides a strong contrast to delicate varieties such as Acacia and suits buyers looking for a more intense, characterful honey.

May Honey

The character of spring

May honey is produced during the spring flowering period and can include nectar gathered from fruit blossom, rapeseed, acacia and other spring flora. It is typically lighter in colour with a delicate, pleasant aroma. Its exact composition reflects the spring harvest.

Sunflower Honey

Golden, characteristic, versatile

Sunflower honey is a golden honey with a pleasant flavour and relatively subtle aroma. It crystallises more rapidly than varieties such as Acacia, creating a distinctive texture and appearance. An excellent option for commercial buyers requiring naturally sourced European honey at volume.

Additional varieties

Alongside our core range, we can also supply selected speciality honeys subject to harvest, specification and commercial volume.

Forest Honey

Dark. Robust. Distinctive.

A deeper, more characterful honey influenced by woodland flora. Forest honey offers a rich colour and pronounced flavour profile suited to buyers looking for a distinctive addition to premium, speciality or private-label ranges.

Rapeseed Honey

Pale. Smooth. Naturally Fast-Setting.

Rapeseed honey is known for its light colour, mild flavour and naturally rapid crystallisation. Its smooth set texture makes it particularly suitable for creamed honey, packing and selected food-manufacturing applications.

Custom honey infusions

Need something outside the standard range?

For suitable commercial projects, we can develop custom honey-based products to an agreed customer brief.

Tell us the flavour direction, intended application and required volume. We can discuss ingredient options, specification, production feasibility and commercial supply.

Custom projects are subject to formulation, minimum volume and applicable food-safety and labelling requirements. Products with added ingredients are named and labelled as honey-based foods, for example “honey with ginger”.

Honey supply that holds up at volume.

Raw honey, independently tested.

Colour and taste will not tell a professional buyer what is in the drum. Independent third-party laboratory testing will.

Every batch we supply is analysed by an independent laboratory, and the report for your batch comes with your order. Below is a real report from a previous batch, so you can see exactly what you will receive.
